Securely Sharing a Finalised Report with an External Recipient
You can share a finalised report securely with an external client using a unique, time-limited link. Each shared link is protected with authentication, can be revoked at any time, and automatically expires based on the date and time you set. Reports are delivered securely using short-lived access links.
Note: Links can have a maximum expiration period of 7 days.
How to Share a Finalised Report
- Open the Finalised Report
- Navigate to the report you want to share.
- Click the “Share with External Recipient” Icon
- This is available on the Report View screen.
3. Add a New Recipient
- In the Share dialog box, click Add.
4. Enter the Required Details
Complete the following fields:
- Recipient’s Email Address
Important: Please enter a valid email address. - Reason for Sharing
Provide a clear explanation for why the report is being shared. - Link Expiry Date and Time
Set when the shared link should expire.
Note: The Expiry Date is always in the patient's lab’s time zone.
5. Send the Share Invitation
- Click Add to send the email invitation to the recipient.
6. Secure Link Delivery Confirmation
- A confirmation message will appear once the link has been successfully generated and sent.
- The recipient’s details and your reason for sharing will be saved and displayed in the Share Report dialog for future reference.
- The recipient will receive a secure, authenticated link that:
- Expires automatically at the selected date and time.
- Can be revoked if required.
- Provides secure, temporary access to download the report.
7. Tracking Report Access
- In the Share Report dialog, locate the Action column.
- Hover over the eye icon to check whether the recipient has viewed the report link.
This feature ensures reports are shared securely while giving you full visibility and control over access.
8. Revoke Report Access
To revoke access to a report, click on the X icon.
