Doctor: Report a Holter procedure
To report a Holter procedure in BeatBox, open the procedure then check and action the procedure as required.
Open procedure
1. Go to beatboxv3.cloud and log in to BeatBox.
2. Click Filter at the top left of your Worklist.
3. On the filter pop-up, go to the Status column and click 'Analysed' and/or 'Reviewed'.
4. Click Close (your Worklist will be automatically filtered by your selection).
5. In your Worklist, go to the relevant procedure and click Report.
Check procedure
On the Report procedure page, you can:
- check the PDF report and its conclusion
- view patient or procedure details (including Medicare/insurance information)
- view related procedures
- view any support documents that have been uploaded for the procedure
Check report and conclusion
The procedure's PDF report displays to the right of the Report procedure page. You can:
- scroll to view all pages and zoom in or out as required
- choose a two-page view
- view a list of all pages and select the relevant page to view
- download or print the report
The report's conclusion displays at the bottom of the page. Depending on your permissions, you can either update or view this field. Any updates will be saved automatically.
View patient and procedure details
1. On the Report procedure page click Details.
The Patient details popup displays details about the patient, their procedure and their Medicare/insurance information.
2. Click each tab to view details about the patient and their procedure.
View related procedures
You can view the patient's four most recent procedures (with an 'Analysed', 'Finalised', 'Repeat requested' or 'Repeat received' tag).
1. On the Report procedure page, click Related studies.
Related procedures are sorted by date of recording, with the most recent at the top of the list. If the procedure that you currently have open is one of the four most recent procedures for the customer, it will be highlighted blue and display the word 'Current'.
2. Click to open any of the procedures to view the report's conclusions.
3. Click Show report to open the PDF report in a separate tab in your browser.
View support documents
1. On the left panel of the Report procedure page, click Review support docs.
If a support document has been uploaded for the procedure, it will display in a separate tab in your browser.
Action procedure
1. Once you have reviewed/checked the procedure, you can:
- Mark the procedure as requiring immediate attention
- Return the procedure report for review
- Confirm the procedure, or
- Move to the next procedure in the list (without making any changes).
Mark procedure as requiring immediate attention
If the procedure shows an abnormal result and the patient’s referring doctor needs to be notified immediately, you can mark the procedure as requiring immediate attention.
1. On the left panel of the Report procedure page, turn the Immediate attention switch to ON.

3. Add a message about your request for immediate attention.
The following occurs:
- the section headers on the Report procedure page are highlighted pale red/orange
- a message displays in the procedure header bar with your name and the date and time of your request
- a system message is automatically added to the Conversation panel with your immediate attention request and the date and time of your request
- your note is added to the Conversation panel, with your name and the date and time that it was added
The procedure is highlighted in the Worklist, and an ‘Imm. attention’ tag will display next to the procedure.
When the patient's lab has acknowledged the immediate attention request, they will be prompted to add notes in the Conversation panel to indicate the action that they have taken.
Return procedure report for review
If you think that the report is incomplete, incorrect and/or needs further investigation, follow these steps to return the procedure to a Cardiac Technician for review.
1. At the bottom of the Report procedure page, click Request review.
The procedure's status will change to 'Sent for review' and an 'Under revision' tag will be attached to the procedure.
2. In the popup that displays, type the reason that you requested the review, then click OK:
3. Your notes will be added to the Conversations panel where they can be viewed by the Cardiac Technician:
4. The Cardiac Technician will view your notes and follow up any action required.
A response will be provided in the Conversations panel regarding the outcome of your query. Depending on the action required:
- the procedure will be rejected, and/or
- a repeated procedure will be added to BeatBox, or
- the procedure's status will be updated to 'Reviewed'.
Confirm procedure
1. At the bottom of the Report procedure page, click Confirm.
The PDF update process begins and a front page is added to the final report with your signature.
Depending on how you filtered/sorted your Worklist, the next procedure with either 'Analysed' or 'Reviewed' status will display on the Report procedure page for you to action. If you have actioned the last procedure in your list, you will automatically return to your Worklist.
Revise procedure
In the Finalised state, at the bottom of the Report procedure page, click Revise. This will:
- Unlock the conclusion section for editing
- Change the Status of the procedure to Sent for Review
- Leave an audit trail in Conversations
You can now make changes and click Confirm to re finalise the procedure, clicking Confirm will:
- Re finalise the Procedure.
- Update details of finalized date and user
- Re generate PDF with new details
- Leave an audit trail in Conversations
- A tag of Finalised Revised will also be visible on the worklist
- Conclusion will be locked again.
The above process can be repeated as many times as necessary.
Once the report has been successfully updated, the procedure's status changes to ‘Finalised’ and a ‘Finalised’ workflow tag is added to the procedure. The procedure's finalised date now displays in your Worklist and on the Patient details popup (see View patient and procedure details).
Depending on how you filtered/sorted your Worklist, the next procedure with either 'Analysed' or 'Reviewed' status will display on the Report procedure page for you to action.
Move to next procedure
You can move to the next relevant procedure in your list without actioning or changing the status of the current procedure.
