Report an ECG procedure
To report an ECG procedure in BeatBox, open the procedure then check and action the procedure as required.
Open procedure
1. Go to https://www.beatbox.cloud/ and log in to BeatBox.
2. Filter your Worklist for procedures that are ready for reporting (i.e. in 'Unreviewed' or 'Reviewed' status).
3. Go to the relevant procedure and click Review.
Check procedure
On the Report procedure page, you can:
- check the PDF report and its conclusion
- view details about the ECG study
- view patient and procedure details
- view related procedures
- view any support documents that have been uploaded for the procedure
Check report and conclusion
The procedure's PDF report displays to the right of the Report procedure page. You can:
- scroll to view all pages and zoom in or out as required
- choose a two-page view
- view a list of all pages and select the relevant page to view
- download or print the report
The report's conclusion displays at the bottom of the page. Depending on your permissions, you can either update or view this field. Any updates will be saved automatically.
View details about the ECG study
On the Report procedure page click Raw Data.
The report tab will change and show you the raw data for the open procedure.
The selected tab will be remembered when you open the next procedure. You can choose between having the Report tab or Raw Data tab as default
View patient and procedure details
1. On the Report procedure page click Details.
2. Click each tab on the popup to view details about the patient and their procedure.
View related procedures
The Related studies button enables you to view the patient's four most recent procedures (of any type) which have an 'Analysed', 'Finalised', 'Repeat requested', 'Repeat received' or 'Reviewed' tag.
If you need to view further procedures, go to your Worklist and perform a search.
1. On the Report procedure page, click Related studies.
Related procedures are sorted by date of recording, with the most recent at the top of the list. If the procedure that you currently have open is one of the four most recent procedures for the customer, it will be highlighted blue and display the word 'Current'.
2. Click to open any of the procedures to view the report's conclusions.
3. Click Show report to open the PDF report in a separate tab in your browser.
View support documents
The Review support docs option enables you to view any support documents that have been uploaded for the procedure.
1. On the left panel of the Report procedure page, click Review support docs.
If a support document has been uploaded for the procedure, it will display in a separate tab in your browser.
Action procedure
1. Once you have reviewed/checked the procedure, you can:
- Mark the procedure as Act Soon
- Mark the procedure as requiring immediate attention
- Repeat the procedure
- Confirm the procedure, or
- Move to the next procedure in the list (without making any changes).
Mark procedure as Act Soon
If the procedure shows patient has condition(s) that require rapid medical attention but are not immediately life-threatening, you can mark the procedure as Act Soon.
Mark procedure as requiring immediate attention
If the procedure shows an abnormal result and the patient’s referring doctor needs to be notified immediately, you can mark the procedure as requiring immediate attention.
1. On the left panel of the Report procedure page, turn the Immediate attention switch to ON.

3. Add a message about your request for immediate attention.
The following occurs:
- the section headers on the Report procedure page are highlighted pale red/orange
- a message displays in the procedure header bar with your name and the date and time of your request
- a system message is automatically added to the Conversation panel with your immediate attention request and the date and time of your request
- your note is added to the Conversation panel, with your name and the date and time that it was added
The procedure is highlighted in the Worklist, and an ‘Imm. attention’ tag will display next to the procedure.
When the patient's lab has acknowledged the immediate attention request, they will be prompted to add notes in the Conversation panel to indicate the action that they have taken.
Repeat procedure
If you think that a report has insufficient data and/or is poor quality, follow these steps to request that the procedure be repeated.
1. At the bottom of the Report procedure page, click Repeat.
The following occurs:
- a message displays in the procedure header bar with your name and the date and time of your request
- a 'Repeat requested' tag is attached to the procedure
- the Repeat button changes to Cancel repeat (so you can cancel your request if required)
3. Add a message about your repeat request.
The following occurs:
- a message displays in the procedure header bar with your name and the date and time of your request
- a system message is automatically added to the Conversation panel with your repeat request and the date and time of your request
- your note is added to the Conversation panel, with your name and the date and time that it was added
Note: The relevant lab will receive your repeat request. Once the lab has repeated the patient's procedure they will upload the new procedure into BeatBox.
Confirm procedure
1. At the bottom of the Report procedure page, click Confirm.
The PDF update process begins and a front page is added to the final report with your signature. Once the report has been successfully updated, the procedure's status changes to ‘Finalised’ and a ‘Finalised’ workflow tag is added to the procedure. The procedure's finalised date now displays in your Worklist and on the Patient details popup (see View patient and procedure details).
Depending on how you filtered/sorted your Worklist, the next procedure with either 'Analysed' or 'Reviewed' status will display on the Report procedure page for you to action.
Move to next procedure
You can move to the next relevant procedure in your list without actioning or changing the status of the current procedure.
1. At the bottom of the Report procedure page, click Next.
